Saltdean United Women Make History

What an amazing season Saltdean United Women have had in the London and South East Regional-Premier League. They have won 19 games and only lost 2 games, runners up in the Sussex Women's County Cup and were winners of the League cup.

The Tigers have had some incredible wins this season including a 13-0 win over Ebbsfleet United in the FA Cup back in September and most recently a 9-0 win over Aylesford in the league.

The clubs top goalscorer was captain Georgia Bridges who scored 26 goals and the top assister was Rubie Harris who assisted 5 goals.

My player of the season would have to be Goalkeeper Megen Lynch who has been consistent all season and has kept us in it every match.

In the League Cup final Lynch made 3 penalty saves, Katie Young, Dani Lane and Kirsty Barton all scored their penalties which saw the Tigers lift the trophy.

They finished 2nd in the league and were promoted to the FA Women's National League Division One South East for the first time in the clubs history.

They will start the new season on the 16th August with a home match against Milton Keynes Dons Women. Be apart of history and get down to Saltdean Football Ground, Hill Park to cheer on the Tigers
